How do I purchase a membership?
Becoming a member is fun, easy and affordable! You can join by three easy ways:
Onsite at the museum Ticket Center or Member and Guest Relations office
Call 305-434-9600 from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
What types of memberships do you offer and how much do they cost?
Frost Science offers six different levels of membership:
Dual PLUS – $159 (two adults + one guest)
Family – $199 (two adults, four kids)
Family PLUS – $249 (two adults, four kids + two guests)
Family PLUS Premier – $279 (three adults, four kids + two guests)
Explorer - $1000 (three adults, four kids, + two guests plus exclusive special benefits)
Explorer PLUS - $2500 (three adults, four kids, + two guests plus exclusive special benefits)

What are the age restrictions to become a member?
We require that the Primary cardholder on all membership levels be at least 18 years of age. All other named cardholders must be at least 12 years old in order to be able to use guest and child admission entitlements.
I already bought admission tickets. Can I put the tickets towards purchasing a membership?
Yes, you can convert your same-day admission ticket(s) towards the cost of an annual membership within 10 calendar days after your visit. Visit the Member and Guest Relations office before you leave the museum on the day of your visit to take advantage of this offer. (terms and conditions apply)
When can I start using my membership?
Your year of discovery and adventure begins as soon as your payment is processed. To use your membership immediately, simply present your photo ID at the Ticket Center and a sales ambassador will assist you.
When will my membership expire?
Memberships expire 12 months after they are purchased, on the last day of the month.
How do I give a membership as a gift to someone else?
To purchase a gift membership, please click here. You may also purchase a gift membership at the Ticket Center.
How do I upgrade my membership to a higher level?
If you would like to upgrade your membership, a mid-year upgrade may be completed at the Ticket Center onsite or by calling Frost Science at 305-434-9600. The cost for an upgrade will be the difference in cost from your current level to the higher level. Discounts cannot be applied towards a mid-year upgrade. Benefits for the upgraded level will be available immediately, however your current expiration date will remain the same (membership cycle will not be extended).
I just purchased a membership but found a discount. Can I get a credit or a refund?
Discounts must be applied at the time of purchase and can only be used for annual membership purchases. Discounts are not valid for mid-year upgrades, card re-print fees or other products. Discounts will not be applied to previously purchased memberships. However, you can utilize the discount offer if you would like to renew your membership for another year while the offer is valid.
Membership Renewal
Do you participate in Automatic Renewals?
As part of our mission to preserve the environment and for our members convenience, Frost Science memberships automatically renew on an annual basis. We provide our members with details about the auto-renewal program on the membership enrollment form, the online registration page, in our members welcome e-mail, as well as with your fulfillment packet, including information about how to opt-out of the auto-renewal program. Automatic renewals are always fulfilled and charged one day after your expiration. (I.e. If your membership currently expires on December 31st, your account will be charged on January 1st)
What if I want to cancel my participation in your auto-renewals?
If you do not want to participate in our auto-renewal program, you may opt-out online at frostscience.org/membership/optout/ at any time prior to the expiration of your current membership to cancel your participation in our auto-renewal program. You will still receive regular requests to renew via email and mail.
Will I still be able to be a member in the future if I opt-out of auto-renewal?
Of course! Membership is a vital part of the continued success of Frost Science. You will still receive regular renewal information via mail and email and can always renew or rejoin at any time.
Will I receive a notice of my pending auto-renewal?
Because your membership is automatically renewed each year, you don’t have to worry about renewal notices. We will send you a postcard 45 days prior as well as an email confirmation 15 days prior to the listed contact details upon initial enrollment. We will also promptly notify you when auto-renewal has been billed to your credit card.
What if my billing information changes?
You can visit the Member and Guest Relations office , contact us via email at membership@frostscience.org or via phone at 305-434-9600 to change your information. If your credit/debit card expires during your membership year, we will email you so that you can update the information to ensure no gaps in your membership.
How do I renew my membership?
If you are not currently enrolled in our Auto-renewal program, you can renew anytime either online at frostscience.org/renew/, by Phone: 305-434-9600 or in person upon your next visit. If you choose to renew early, your new expiration date will be 365 days out from your current expiration date, so you do not lose any time by renewing in advance.
What if I need to cancel my membership?
The support of our members is vitally important to the success of Frost Science. Because of all the benefits and savings one receives as a member, all membership sales are final and we do not issue refunds once the membership has been activated.
Online Account
How do I log-in to my online member account?
You may register as a new user by clicking here. For existing members logging-in for the first time, please enter your email address associated with your account and click "Forgot Password?".
Membership Cards
When will I receive my membership cards?
Membership cards will be sent to you within three weeks of enrollment. You can also access your digital cards online anytime through your account.
How many membership cards will I receive?
Each named adult on the account will receive a personalized membership card. Children and eligible guests must accompany a named member in order to gain access.
Family Plus Premier memberships and Explorer level memberships will receive two named membership cards and one generic adult card.
I forgot my card at home…how can I enter the museum?
You may present your picture ID at the Member and Guest Relations office and we can look you up in our system or use the digital cards from your online account.
I never received my membership cards…what should I do?
Please contact us at membership@frostscience.org or call 305-434-9600 to request replacement cards. A guest ambassador onsite at the Member and Guest Relations office can also assist. Please remember it can take 2-4 weeks to receive your card in the mail.
I lost my membership cards. How can I replace them?
As of June 1, 2020, replacement of lost/stolen membership cards can be ordered for a $5 fee. Order online or onsite at the Member and Guest Relations Desk during your next visit. Reprint fee includes the printing of a new set of cards for all cardholders on the account and delivery via USPS First Class Mail.

For your convenience, you may also access a digital version of your membership card at any time by using your online membership account profile. Your digital cards can also be used onsite at participating ASTC Passport science centers when accompanied with a valid photo ID.
Can I let a friend or family member not listed on my membership use my card?
Membership cards are non-transferrable. Access to Member benefits including free admission can only be accessed by the named cardholder.
Photo ID is required during check-in. A named cardholder must be present at time of check-in for guests to be admitted into the museum. If the adult cardholders are unavailable, named children (with a photo ID) can redeem their own child admission ticket (ex: one child with an ID can redeem their one child ticket).
Attempts to use the membership by an unnamed individual can result in loss of access to benefits.
Can I use my membership for admission to other museums?
One of your benefits as a Frost Science member is access to the ASTC Travel Passport Program. You are eligible for benefits such as free general admission to other participating ASTC museums when you travel outside of your local area.
Local restrictions apply. Museums that DO NOT currently qualify for reciprocal admission with Frost Science due to the location exclusions policy are: Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS) in Fort Lauderdale, Cox Science Center and Aquarium in West Palm Beach, and Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach.

Before you travel…
- Make sure the science center or museum you are visiting is not located within 90 miles of either your home residence or Frost Science. This distance is measured as a linear radius, not driving distance.
- that science center or museum’s family admittance policy. Download the list of participating venues below and call before you visit to confirm your ASTC Passport Program benefits.
- Bring your ID. Admissions staff reserve the right to request proof of ID and residence for benefits to apply.
- Pack your Frost Science membership card or be prepared to show your digital membership card on a mobile device. Participating venues are not required to grant benefits to visitors who forget their cards. There is no universal database with all ASTC Passport Program visitors’ member data and expiration dates for admission staff to reference.
How do I access my digital membership card on my mobile phone?
You can skip the wait and go straight to the fun! Use your membership card (physical or digital) at the museum entrance kiosk and avoid all ticketing lines. You can also book your free Frost Planetarium show (pending availability) and daily admission in advance to guarantee your entrance. Digital membership cards can be accessed from any smart device, so you never have to worry about losing your membership card or forgetting it at home when you travel.
Here’s how to access your digital membership cards from a mobile device:
- Visit frostscience.org and click on the ‘hamburger’ menu toolbar in the upper right hand corner or go straight to frostscience.org/mbrlogin.
- Once the main menu drops down, select LOG IN in the bottom right hand corner.
- On the LOG IN screen, enter the email address and password associated with your membership account.
- Once you log in, again click on the ‘hamburger’ menu toolbar in the upper right hand corner. The main menu will once again drop down.
- You will see a new option titled MEMBERSHIP CARD at the bottom left hand corner.

Discounts
Can I purchase discounted admission tickets with my membership?
NEW MEMBER PERK! Members can now purchase additional museum tickets at 20% off with their member reservation for the same day(limited to four per visit) To receive the member discount, simply purchase tickets while logged in to your membership account. No promo code necessary!
Do members receive a discount in the parking garage?
Onsite parking is available for members at a discounted rate of $11 per day. Explorer PLUS members receive FREE parking with validation. Members must bring their ticket to the Membership Priority Window at the on-site Ticket Center for the discount validation before returning to the parking garage.
Parking is dependent on availability; membership does not guarantee parking onsite during peak times.
Do you offer discounts for seniors, students, teachers or military personnel?
Unfortunately, we do not currently offer membership discounts for seniors, students or military.
Teachers in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm-Beach, and Monroe may join our Educator Membership program following an annual processing fee of $35 with proper ID verification.
First responders, active US military and veterans with proper identification receive free general admission to the museum and a $2 discount on daily planetarium shows.
Can I host a group or field trip with my member benefits?
No, all memberships are for personal/household use. Members are not permitted to extend their membership benefits to host client groups, field trips, classrooms, clubs or similar groups. The Museum does offer bulk rates as well as school group rates.

Using Your Membership
How do I avoid the line and get in faster?
Your membership card can now be scanned at the entrance kiosk for general admission.
Step-by-Step Instructions to Reserve Member Tickets
Step 1: Go to frostscience.org/tickets.
Step 2: Select "yes" that you are a Frost Science member. You’ll be directed to log-in to your account.
Step 3: Select the day of your visit. Use the drop-down calendar to choose your day.
Step 4: Determine the number of people in your party and fill in the appropriate quantities in the specified boxes. Your complimentary membership pricing will be adjusted on the next page.
Step 5: Click "continue to checkout" where you will be directed to your shopping cart. Here, you will need to review and confirm that all the details of your purchase are correct before proceeding to checkout.
Step 6: Select your ticket delivery method as "email tickets."
Step 7: Once you confirm your ticket delivery, you will need to enter your payment information only if there are any additional items in your cart that require payment. Enter your payment information and click on "Buy Now" to complete your order. An order confirmation email will be sent immediately, followed by another email a few moments later with the tickets attached. You may print the tickets or show them on your mobile device when you arrive at the museum, and proceed directly to the point of entry.
Step 8: Enjoy your visit to Frost Science! With your tickets in hand, you can skip the line and enjoy your express entry.

How do I contact the Membership Office?

How do I change my address or update my contact information?
After logging into the Frost Science website, click on your name in the upper right-hand corner. You may then edit your contact information. You may also send updates via email to the membership department at membership@frostscience.org or notify a guest ambassador onsite at the Member and Guest Relations office when you visit.
What happens if I want to change one of the name on my membership card?
We allow a one-time courtesy change of the named person per membership cycle. Named person must be part of the same household. Please email membership@frostscience.org or call 305-434-9600 to process this request.
I purchased my membership a few months ago and haven’t used it. Can I get an extension for the time it wasn’t used?
While we wish members could visit all the time, we cannot assign credit for time the membership was not used. Even if you have lost or not yet received your cards, you are always able to visit the Museum by visiting the Member and Guest Relations office and providing a photo ID as well as your digital card.
Are Frost Science Memberships tax-deductible?
Frost Science Memberships at the Individual Plus through Family PLUS Premier level are not tax deductible. As these membership level benefits provide a considerable cost-beneficial amount of goods and services rendered, the fair market value of the membership exceeds the cost of dues paid by members and is not tax-deductible. Under current IRS regulations we provide a written disclosure to all members indicating the amount paid in exchange for goods and services received for any payment in excess of $75. This disclosure is included in your membership welcome packet upon joining/renewing. Additionally, membership payments cannot be made through donor advised funds or any other vehicle that precludes goods and services from being received. Any membership dues paid through any of these type of funds will instead be processed as a donation to the Phillip & Patricia Frost Museum and all membership benefits will be waived. If you are interested in making a donation to Frost Science that is fully tax deductible and/or can be made through a donor advised fund, please visit our support page to learn how. Explorer and Explorer PLUS are partially tax deductible. The tax deductible portion for Explorer memberships is $554.00 and for Explorer PLUS, $1,955.50
Are there any blackout dates?
We strive to ensure our members have access to the museum all year long. However, there may be dates when special programming or major events require us to restrict access for members and/or limit the number of members that can attend. There may also be dates that the museum will be closed for renovations and refurbishment. We will always attempt to communicate any potential impacts to our visitation policy directly with our members in advance, so their visitation plans are not affected.
Does my membership benefit of free museum admission extend to children and/or chaperones on a school field trip?
As school groups establish the field trip package rates and often have additional costs and experiences that are created independent of Frost Science, we unfortunately cannot extend your membership admission benefit to school field trips or other organized group visits. Active members on a field trip or organized group visit can still take advantage of their member discount at the Science Store and the Food@Science café.
Terms and Conditions
Educator Membership Terms and Conditions
The $35 Educator Membership processing fee is an annual fee. Verification of employment must be provided on an annual basis in order for Educator Membership to be renewed; Individual must be a teacher or school director for a K-12 public or private school within Dade, Broward, Monroe or Palm Beach county in order to qualify. Purchase of an Educator membership by a person who does not meet the qualifications will not be honored. Educator Memberships do not automatically renew.
Terms and Conditions of all memberships.
All Frost Science memberships are revocable licenses and can be revoked at any time in the sole discretion of Frost Science without refund in the event of any noncompliance with or violation of any museum rule or other term or condition of membership, or for any inappropriate conduct. Memberships are nontransferable and cannot be shared between persons and/or households except as specifically provided for per such membership category.
Memberships are for personal use only. All membership sales are final and non-refundable.
