Museum Volunteers for the Environment (MUVE) hosts monthly volunteer workdays for anyone who is passionate about restoring Miami’s natural environment, and on Saturday, May 17, we’re inviting Frost Science members to join us as part of Member Appreciation Month!
On Saturday, May 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Frost Science members are invited to join MUVE in enhancing our coastal habitat through nature-based volunteerism at Crandon Park North (6767 Crandon Blvd.) on Key Biscayne. Members will join us in restoring the native beach dune by planting sea oats (Uniola paniculata), a vital vegetative component of our coastlines. This is a great opportunity to connect with other Frost Science members and the Membership team. It’s time to #GetMuving!
Registration is required by Thursday, May 15. Participants under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Participants under 18 years of age must have signed waiver by parent or legal guardian. Must be logged in to membership account to register.
Please wear sun protection, bug protection, closed-toed shoes, and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. All materials, water, and snacks will be provided. We encourage you to bring your reusable water bottle.
