Led by Dream in Green and Frost Science, teachers will be trained on the importance of citizen science and discover several local and national citizen science opportunities available to them. Dream in Green is a non-profit organization that designs and implements environmental education programs. Citizen science allows K-12 students to be part of the scientific process by collecting and analyzing data.
Throughout the professional learning opportunity, teachers will receive training from citizen science-based organizations on how to incorporate citizen science into their curriculum and contribute to citizen science projects in their classrooms.
M-DCPS teachers can register for Master Plan Points on their educator portal. Non M-DCPS educators can register here.
