Overview
This program invites middle school students to gain leadership skills, meet with museum experts and learn about various scientific topics relating to the week’s theme during Frost Science camps. With the assistance of a mentor, CITs will develop a scientific resource or video aligning to one of Frost Science’s current exhibitions. At the end of the week, CIT’s will present their video to museum leadership.
The CIT program is designed for kids aged 12-15 to:
- Explore interests in science
- Build resumes with experience at a science museum
- Become young leaders in STEM
- Gain community service hours and a recommendation letter for their time as a CIT
